A conference titled “Informing consumers about the safety of non-food products" was organized by the Ministry of Trade and Tourism of Republic of Srpska and held in Teslić on February 23rd-24th, 2022. Participants of the conference were representatives of the consumer associations from Republic of Srpska, the Ministry of Trade and Tourism of Republic of Srpska, the Federal Ministry of Trade and Market Surveillance Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In addition to improvement of institutional cooperation in the field of
market surveillance and consumer protection, the aim of the conference was informing
consumers about the legislative framework concerning product safety, with
particular emphasis on informing consumers about products posing serious risk in
a timely manner.
In terms of informing the consumers, the Agency presented its
publications and information on unsafe products that were identified on the
market of Bosnia and Herzegovina during the implementation of proactive and
reactive surveillance activities.
All the participants found the conference very
useful.
