This is one of the two construction product groups covered by the Law on Construction Products in FBiH and the Law on Construction Products in RS that were subject to proactive market surveillance in 2024.

Objectives of the proactive market surveillance of clay roofing tiles were the monitoring of implementation of the Law on Construction Products in FBiH (Official Gazette of FBiH, 78/09) and the Law on Construction Products in RS (Official Gazette of RS, 5/12), as well as market monitoring and withdrawal of non-compliant products from the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina.    

During the implementation of proactive surveillance, 5 inspection controls were carried out, which were based on the administrative verification of documentation, visual inspection of products and laboratory testing. In total, 6 types of clay roofing tiles were controlled. Through administrative control, visual inspection and laboratory testing for one characteristic, it was determined that the controlled products comply with the laws on construction products.

Based on the results of proactive market surveillance activities, it can be concluded that clay roofing tiles placed on the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina comply with the applicable regulations.
