The workshop on New Legal Framework for Personal Protective Equipment was held on 25th-26th June 2025, in Sarajevo. This is another one of the events organized by the Market Surveillance Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the support of the TAIEX assistance program of the European Commission.

In addition to the representatives
of the Market Surveillance Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the workshop was
attended by representatives of the inspectorates from Republic of Srpska,
Federation of BiH, and Brčko District of BiH, who carry out the surveillance of
personal protective equipment on the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina in
cooperation with the Agency.
Ms Maureen Logghe and Ms Wendy
Van Aerschot, the experts from Belgium, shared their knowledge and experience
in the market surveillance of personal protective equipment with the
participants.
The objective of the workshop was
to gain an insight into the applicable regulations in the field of product
safety and the organization of the market surveillance system in the European
Union member states. Through the exchange of experts' experiences, guidelines
for improvement of the personal protective equipment market surveillance system
were provided, with the aim of protecting consumers in Bosnia and Herzegovina,
as well as harmonizing with European regulations and surveillance practices.
The workshop was a valuable opportunity
for a dialogue with experts from the European Union, as well as for
strengthening the cooperation among all competent institutions within the
market surveillance system of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
