Objectives of the proactive market surveillance of gypsum binders and gypsum plasters were the monitoring of implementation of the Law on Construction Products in FBiH (Official Gazette of FBiH, 78/09) and the Law on Construction Products in RS (Official Gazette of RS, 5/12), as well as market monitoring and withdrawal of non-compliant products from the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina.   

During the implementation of proactive surveillance, 6 inspection controls were carried out, which were based on the administrative verification of documentation, visual inspection of products, laboratory testing and competent authorities proceeding. In total, 6 types of gypsum binders and gypsum plasters were controlled. Out of the total number of controlled products, it was found that 5 types (83.3%) were compliant with the laws on construction products, while the non-compliances were found in 1 type of products (16.7%).

Based on the results of proactive market surveillance activities, it can be concluded that gypsum binders and gypsum plasters placed on the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina mainly comply with the applicable regulations.
