Migration of chromium (VI) from the material scraped from the coating layer of the pencils is too high (measured value: 0.1735 mg/kg). A child could put a pencil in the mouth and suck on it and become exposed to chromium (VI). Chromium (VI) is sensitising and it can trigger allergic reactions and cause cancer.
