PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT ON VOLUNTARY WITHDRAWAL AND RECALL OF MAXI COSI FAMILYFIX CAR SEAT BASES PRODUCED BEFORE 5TH OF MARCH 2010



After finding out about the announcement of voluntary recall of Maxi-Cosi FamilyFix car seat bases, published on the website of Dorel (www.maxi-cosi.com), Market Surveillance Agency of BiH contacted the authorized importer MAGMA B d.o.o in Sarajevo.

In accordance with legal obligation of notification of dangerous products to the competent authority by producers and distributors, prescribed by the Law on General Product Safety, Market Surveillance Agency requested that Magma B d.o.o. provides available data on the disputable products from its sales range.

The importer notified the Agency that only one disputable product was imported, and it was immediately withdrawn from sale and stored.

Since the withdrawal refers to Familyfix car seat base (which can be identified by name on the side of the product), parents can continue to use car seats Maxi-Cosi Pebble or CabrioFix 0+ with a seatbelt in a vehicle. Withdrawal does not refer to EasyFix, EasyBase (2) or any other product.
