Satisfactory level of safety of kick scooters for children on the market

During the period from May to October 2020, MSA of BiH and market inspections of the Federation of BiH, Republic of Srpska and Brčko District of BiH completed joint market surveillance of kick scooters for children. 7 models of kick scooters were tested, and it was found that 3 models did not comply with the safety requirements prescribed in the standard BAS EN 71-1+A1:2019. 1 model was withdrawn from the market because it posed a serious risk to children, while the non-compliances were removed in 2 models of kick scooters. Based on the results of the market surveillance activities in 2020, it can be concluded that the situation on the market of BiH in terms of safety of kick scooters for children is at a satisfactory level compared to previous years.
