Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at the proposal of Market Surveillance Agency of BiH, at the 108th session held on December 10th 2009 adopted:
1. The Decision on the prohibition of placing consumer products containing biocide dimethylfumarate on the market, transposing Commission Decision of 17 March 2009 requiring Member States to ensure that products containing the biocide dimethylfumarate are not placed or made available on the market (2009/251/EC).
2. The Decision on the restriction of placing toys and childcare articles containing phthalates on the market, transposing Directive 2005/84/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 December 2005 amending for the 22nd time Council Directive 76/769/EEC on the approximation of the laws, regulations and administrative provisions of the Member States relating to restrictions on the marketing and use of certain dangerous substances and preparations (phthalates in toys and childcare articles).
Adoption of these Decisions creates the basis for better protection of safety interests of consumers in BiH. After their publication in the Official Gazette of BiH, the Decisions will be published on the website of the Agency (under the heading „Legislation“).
