TAIEX

TAIEX (Technical Assistance and Information Exchange) is an instrument of the European Commission that provides short-term technical assistance and information exchange to countries in the process of accession to the European Union, primarily in the areas of ​​alignment with EU legislation and implementation of the legislation.

A key objective of TAIEX is to accelerate the process of accession to the EU by helping candidate countries strengthen their institutional capacities and align with EU legislation. By drawing on the expertise of public sector institutions from the EU Member States, TAIEX promotes cooperation and the exchange of information, facilitates best practice sharing and encourages international partnerships.

Assistance under TAIEX may be provided through:

·      expert missions,

·      workshops,

·      study visits or

·      series of events with a thematic connection.

As a beneficiary of TAIEX, Market Surveillance Agency of BiH has organised several TAIEX events in the past few years. Expert lecturers from the EU shared their knowledge and experience with participants representing institutions within the market surveillance system of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
